Why should your son or daughter attend a day camp?

“I WOULDN’T BE PLAYING DIVISION I BASKETBALL WITHOUT MY TRAINING FROM OTTER.”

“IF YOU DON’T REALLY, REALLY WANT IT, THEN IT’S PROBABLY NOT FOR YOU, BECAUSE IT’S A LOT OF WORK.”

DEVELOPMENT THAT I’VE EVER SEEN.”

WHAT WILL I LEARN IN THE otterbasketball day camps?

POINT GUARD BALLHANDLING SKILLS

Just like PGE and JRE, we focus on necessary dribbling skills for a point guard. Because these camps are only 1-2 days, and less time, we can’t cover as much material as PGE or JRE. But you will still leave with enough to be able to train yourself at home!

ELITE AND EFFICIENT SHOOTING

We go over proper shooting form and footwork to help become a consistent shooter. Again, with much less time than PGE and JRE, we won’t cover all of the concepts thoroughly, but Jason will still give you a great base to work with.

PASSING AND OFF-BALL MOVEMENT

Our passing drills have developed point guards that turnover the ball significantly less than their competition. In our day camps, we’ll introduce the drills and concepts that help you become a leader on the court.

BASKETBALL KNOWLEDGE AND IQ

You’ll learn when to make the right decisions on the court, and where. With over 30+ years of training basketball players at the highest level, Jason has an extremely high basketball IQ, and will be teaching concepts to help you get there too!

DISCIPLINE AND CONSISTENT TRAINING

We always say we train players so that they can learn how to train themselves. Our camps are incredibly valuable to basketball players training to play in college, but that will only happen if you keep a consistent, effective training strategy at home. You’ll leave with a long list of drills, technique, and strategy to keep your own daily workouts going, and reach your highest potential.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Ages are Allowed to Attend the One Day or Two Day Camp?

This camp is designed for players entering 4th grade through 12th grade. It is NOT a beginner level camp. Campers must have the attention span to stay focused on instruction for the entirety. This camp is recommended to attend prior to any other OtterBasketball camp if at all possible. This camp will lay the foundational concepts that all OtterBasketball camps are built off of.

Is Jason Otter at the camp himself?

Yes! Jason is at every camp providing the lead instruction and demonstration at every OtterBasketball event. Along with Jason, we have a great staff comprised of college players that have all attended OtterBasketball camps, so they have a clear understanding of the OtterBasketball concepts and principles being taught. They are excellent at correcting players, demonstrating drills or answering questions, helping campers understand the reason they are doing what they’re doing.

How can my 17 year old attend the same camp as an 11 year old?

This camp teaches a wide range of concepts, with a main focus on efficiency of movement and making reads on the defense. The concepts taught in this camp should be introduced to young players and older players will be able to implement into game play immediately.

What is Your Refund Policy?
