Jason Otter designed the Junior Elite camp for the serious young player to start familiarizing them with a more advanced curriculum at a younger age in a disciplined environment. Players will begin to start developing an understanding of how to maximize their game not just from an athletic perspective but also as a leader. Students will begin to build off of foundational concepts and expand into understanding what it takes from a personal and team aspect to succeed at the next level. Students will begin to understand our PGE motto “The only success is team success”. Students should leave the camp with a solid understanding of what it takes to play high level basketball as well as how to make everyone around them better on and off the court. WHO CAN ATTEND? 18 PLAYERS ONLY — 5 Hour Shooting Camp — Co-Ed — 6th grade and up. This is not for new or beginning players. This camp is a classroom environment on the court and is mentally and physically demanding.  It is recommended (not required, but recommended) that players attend the 1 or 2 Day Camp, Junior Elite or Point Guard Elite before attending the Shooting Camp.  Players may attend the Day Camp and Shooting on the same day if parents/players feel like they are able to stay focused for that length of time.  Topics covered include: Shooting Efficiency – Taking out all wasted motion in the shot leading to a quicker release and more consistency Catch and Shoot – Release the ball faster and with more consistency by understanding proper techniques to the catch and shoot Catch and Square – Teach players how to catch and square up helping them establish correct pivot foot and load their legs for their shot and a explosive 1st step Creating Space Out of Triple Threat – Making more efficient moves out of triple threat / creating space out of triple threat in the form of step backs and dribble moves / reading the defense […]

This camp lasts for 3 1/2 days. We are only accepting 60 players into this camp. We only take players that have at least 1 year of Point Guard Elite Experience 10th grade – College (age requirements) or by invitation. The 9am-12pm session will start with a 3 hour training session each morning working on all OtterBasketball concepts at the advanced level. These 3 hours will be intense and very demanding from footspeed development, conditioning, strength training, game shooting, passing, to first step development off the dribble and out of triple threat. The second part of the day will run from 1:00pm to 6:00pm and players will go through classroom lectures as well game simulation drills in preparation for game application. Players will take OtterBasketball principles and begin applying them to game situations vs. defense. The 3rd part of the day will run from 7:00pm to 9:00pm will be a CONTROLLED scrimmage situation. Players will play while coaches break down and analyze with them their decisions made on the floor. This camp is Extreme from 9:00am to 9:00 pm designed only for true OtterBasketball Players.
