One Day Camp – Carthage, IL

Want to know what it takes to be successful at a high level of basketball?  OtterBasketball’s One Day Camp will introduce you to advanced concepts vital to crushing your basketball goals!  This camp will start off by helping players understand the importance of rhythm, developing footspeed and agility by taking them through our Level I Jump Rope program.  Players are then taken through stationary ball handling drills with emphasis on the player’s stance and foundation, making sure they are maintaining proper alignment.  Players are taught to stretch their dribbles, keeping the ball in their hand as long as possible which is important in their ability to make reads on the defense, not moves.  They will understand dribble location pertaining to situations of where the defense is located and how to make the proper read.  Efficiency of Movement is the main focal point of this camp.  If players truly want to maximize their athletic ability, they must be able to move efficiently and effectively.  THIS is the camp that will help players become successful against players that are longer, taller, quicker…more athletic.  Players will be introduced to proper triple threat and see the first 4 steps of our shot development program.
